Tools & Materials For Synthetic Grass Installation

 

When it comes to installing your own synthetic lawn, one of the main questions that everyone has is, ‘what tools will I need?’ Well there are a few specialty tools that will be needed but also many common household tools, there is a list below of both specialty and common tools which will be needed to install your synthetic lawn.

For those of you who are struggling with which tools to purchase to be able to easily install your perfect lawn.

Specialty Tools for Artificial Turf Installation

Seaming Cloth – Perfect for connecting two sheets of synthetic grass. Lay the fabric down, apply the seaming glue and place the pieces of turf together on top of the fabric. Allow for glue to dry.

Seaming Glue – This glue needs to be a thixotropic polyurethane-based adhesive – made specifically for synthetic turf.

Landscape Spikes – These are recommended to secure your synthetic lawn by placing a nail every foot or so around the perimeter and randomly in the center of the grass.

Turf Rake – You will want to use this so you can brush the fibers until they are standing up straight as possible

Hand Tamper – This will help you firmly pack down the infill.
